Description:
A practical study of the principles of feeds and nutrition of the horse, including balancing of rations. This course will also teach basic health indications and first-aid treatments.
Note from the instructor: Equine Health and Disease is a basic overview of normal health of the horse and how to evaluate your horse's health. This course also covers a wide range of various equine ailments and diseases from the common flu and Rhino to very severe ailments such as EEE, EPM and many others. Also covered in this course are issues related to parasites, parasite control and health management practices. This class builds a good foundation of horse health knowledge for anyone who wants to know more about horse health and herd management.
